University of Alkafeel organized a workshop : "Sustainable Agriculture", delivered by Asst.Lect . Ali Abdul Jalil Naji, Head of the Agriculture Department at the University, on Wednesday 2/19/2025, on the margins of the Fourth Annual Job Fair and the First Annual Sustainability Exhibition, organized by Al-Kafeel Center for Information Technology and the Department of Information Technology, in collaboration with College of Technical Engineering.

    The workshop addressed the concept of sustainable agriculture, and the most important challenges it faces, such as weak water management, the unregulated use of fertilizers and chemical pesticides, and their impact on human health and the environment. The latest agricultural technologies and methods that contribute to the sustainability of environmental and agricultural resources, and the conservation of water and soil were also reviewed.

    In a statement, Asst.Lect. Ali Abdul Jalil said: "University of Alkafeel is working hard to enhance agricultural sustainability by providing scientific and technical solutions that contribute to protecting the environment and supporting sustainable agricultural production. We believe in the importance of cooperation between all academic institutions and the local community to achieve sustainable development goals and ensure a better future for future generations."

    The workshop witnessed a wide attendance of professors and students from the Universities of Kufa and Al-Qadisiya, the participants , to enhance sustainability in the agricultural sector, and touched on the importance of adopting modern scientific solutions to ensure a sustainable agricultural future.
