The Department of Anesthesia Technology at university of Alkafeel held a meeting chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Issra Abdul Amir on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, to discuss student attendance and monitor their academic performance.
During the meeting, Dr. Issra emphasized the importance of closely monitoring the student attendance in lectures and absences. She stressed the need for strict measures against students who are absent without an excuse and pointed out the importance of improving academic performance by submitting the names of students with poor performance to call their guardians, parents, reflecting the commitment of the department to the future of the student and academic success.
The department head explained that this process will be implemented with a form prepared in advance to monitor student levels in evaluative subjects : a monthly review of pass and fail rates based on weekly test results. The meeting also addressed the necessity of coordinating with faculty members teaching evaluative subjects in parallel with the colleges to enhance the quality of education and achieve a better academic standard.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Issra recommended the continued close monitoring of student attendance and academic performance, and cooperation between the faculty members to ensure the achievement of the desired educational goals."
