The College of Medical and Health Technologies at the University of Alkafeel, in cooperation with the lifelong Learning Center, organized a training course entitled "Vocational Safety and Management of Biological and Chemical Material in Educational Laboratories and Medical Clinics" on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
This course comes as part of a series of events aimed at raising awareness of the necessary preventive measures to ensure the safety of workers in laboratories and medical institutions.
The course, delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sadiq Ghany Al-Muhana, focused on several topics : protecting workers from diseases caused by hazardous biological agents and maintaining a safe work environment. The course also included guidelines on how to prevent the spread of biological contaminants outside workplaces and control these contaminants through risk management and assessment in workplaces. The course will continue for three days, with lectures held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, September 10, 11, and 14, respectively, at the Faculty of Medical and Health Technologies building, third floor, at 11:00 AM. The course is to conclude with a test on the last day.
