The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel organized an annual mourning session today, Sunday, 15/12/2024, to commemorate the death anniversary of the noble lady Umm al-Banein , may Allah Almighty be pleased with her.

The session showed the attendance of the President of the University, Prof.Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan , the college deans , department heads  and a number of university professors, administrative staff and affiliates.

     The session included a lecture delivered by Mr. Jaafar Al-Marouj, in which he discussed the fragrant chronicle of Lady Umm Al-Banein (peace be upon her), who is a unique model of sincerity and loyalty to the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon them). Mr. Al-Marouj referred to her great sacrifices, when she offered her four sons, headed by the standard-bearer of Karbala, Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), in order to support Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) in the immortal Karbala battle .

     The lecturer also discussed the role of Lady Umm Al-Banein in the House of Prophethood , stressing that she was an example of a nurturing mother and a guardian of the message of the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon them). He praised the heroic role of Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), who embodied the highest meanings of selflessness and loyalty when he stood by his brother Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) until the last moments of his life.

    The session concluded with a spiritual supplication that addressed the status of Lady Umm al-Banein (peace be upon her) and her great role in preserving the religion from the distortion of the Umayyads, while emphasizing her high status with the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and their lovers.

    Such an event reflects the  university of Alkafeel acumen to revive religious and spiritual values, and to strengthen the nexus between the new generations and their ancient Islamic history and the sacrifices of its immortal symbols.
