The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, honored today, Wednesday, 4/12/2024, the winners of the Higher Education Reading Award in its second edition, which aims to enhance general culture and responsibility among university students.
In his speech during the ceremony, the Minister of Education stressed that the award, which the ministry has adopted for the second year respectively , contributes to supporting cultural initiatives and transforming them into purposeful scientific research. He also pointed to the role of such events in preparing students to address societal challenges in innovative scientific ways.
The ceremony was distinguished by the participation of students from various universities, as University of Alkafeel students received a prominent share of the awards.
The Minister honored student Hatem Karim from the College of Medical and Health Technologies (third stage), and student Banin Alaa Shaghati from the College of Dentistry (third stage), accompanied by Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdul Sahib Saad Shamran.
The award included cash prizes amounting to 100 million dinars, certificates of appreciation for outstanding students and special thanks to the organizing committee headed by Dr. Lubna Khamis Mahdi, in appreciation of its efforts in making this cultural event a success.
