The summer training for the medical students of the University of Alkafeel commenced on Sunday, August 4, 2024, and will last for ten days The sessions will be held four days a week. This training is organized in cooperation with the Red Crescent Society, Najaf Branch and the Emergency Section at the Najaf Health Directorate .
The opening of the training program was attended by the rector of the University of Alkafeel, Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahaan, the vice-rector for scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, the Dean of the College of Medicine, Asst. Prof. Dr. Samer Maki Al-Hakak, and his scientific and administrative assistants.
These training sessions, supervised by trainers and lecturers from the University of Alkafeel and the Red Crescent Society, aim to prepare students with essential clinical skills. The training includes how to receive and treat patients, measure blood pressure and fatal signs and handle cases of choking, burns, wounds, and fainting. This program seeks to enhance the medical knowledge of students and prepare them for practical applications, especially during the Arba’een pilgrimage, which requires advanced medical skills at medical serving units .
