The College of Pharmacy at University of Alkafeel organized a discussion session on Wednesday, 6/3/2024, focusing on the art and skill of writing book reviews. Presented by Prof. Dr. Ahmad Shakir Al-Kalabi, the session illuminated the three fundamental principles of book review writing: describing, analyzing, and evaluating the book. Dr. Al-Kalabi highlighted the importance of balancing objective analysis and subjective interpretation in book reviews and encouraged attendees to thoroughly read the book before writing the review. He also emphasized the importance of relying on critical thinking and in-depth analysis of the text. The session concluded by encouraging participants to practice the art of writing book reviews effectively and influentially, stressing the importance of utilizing the three provided foundations to improve the quality and effectiveness of reviews.
