Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, rector of the University of Alkafeel, welcomed Colonel Rabah Al-Khafaji, the Director of Civil Defense in Najaf, on Monday, February 12, 2024. The meeting focused on mechanisms to enhance public safety and protect university facilities and individuals , to set acts of collaboration between the university and civil defense to improve public safety and to ensure protection for university facilities and community members. They also explored using available resources and capabilities effectively to support civil protection and effectively respond to emergencies.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to strengthening the partnership between the university and civil defense, promoting a culture of safety and preparedness for emergencies to shield human lives and public property.
