University Of Alkafeel
In an ambience of agony , the presidency of the University of Alkafeel commemorated the poignant anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Musa bin Ja'far , peace be upon them, on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. The event was attended by the university Rector, Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahaan, the Vice Rector of scientific affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, a number of deans, faculty members, and university personnel . The mourning session included recitations from the Holy Quran by reciter . Mohammed Amir Al-Tamimi from the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, and a lecture by Sheikh. Ja'far Al-Waeli, highlighting the life of knowledge and piety of Imam Al-Kadhim (peace be upon him) and his steadfastness against the pressures of the Abbasid rulers who tried to curtail his public activities.
At the end of the mourning session , Sheikh. Al-Waeli delivered a speech focusing on the Imam's honorable stances and his sacrifice on the way of Allah, emphasizing the continuing impact of his noble message in achieving justice and reform in society. This activity is a part of the university efforts to promote religious and cultural awareness in the university community.
